Peaceful, quiet, beautiful place. The cottage was clean and equipped with everything we needed. 35 minute drive from Port aux Basques & easy to find. Enjoyed our stay enough to return for a second stay before returning to Nova Scotia.
We loved everything about this cottage!!! Very, very clean, and fully equipped with with everything you need. The Location, with an outstanding view. Fabulous place to relax because it’s so quiet and peaceful. The owner is very friendly and pays the upmost attention to detail. A little peace of heaven for sure. I would stay again i would definitely recommend these cottages to anyone.
This is a little piece of heaven. Everything was above expectations and the family owners are super nice. A great place to stay and explore the area. Highly recommend!
Excellent place to visit and stay friendly people hosts were very nice and helpful they go out of their way to make your stay perfect
We loved everything!!! The location, our cottage, and the friendliness of the proprietors. It was the perfect idyllic spot for the last night of our 16-day vacation touring around Newfoundland.
Beautiful, clean and the view is breathtaking. We saw lots of Canada Geese on the point across from cabin and tons of seals lying in the sun on the rocks. We also saw ducks and other birds. Worth visiting, you won’t be disappointed.
My wife and I stayed at a cottage this past weekend, July 16-19, 2021. Wow, these are so wonderful - clean, clean, clean!! Better than many hotels we have stayed in this year and during many past travels. We rented an accessible cabin as I have mobility problems, and I was truly amazed at how well it had been designed. The cabin was laid out very well for getting around if a person used a walker or even a wheelchair, but the bathroom was truly extremely well designed. Comfort height, elongated bowl toilet, well placed grab bars and even wheelchair user “knee space” at the nice sized vanity sink.. As well as plenty of room to “park” a wheel chair or walking aid while in the bathroom.. The bath tub/ shower had multiple grab bars and a long handheld shower hose if you didn’t want to use the regular shower head.. (For a wheelchair user you may need a transfer bench to sit on while in the shower, but I didn’t need one so I didn’t ask but I wouldn’t doubt but they have one available). Sitting outside looking towards the Codroy River is breath-taking, and so peaceful. No traffic noise here I will tell you, quiet is not something we often experience anymore but once you find it the relaxation it brings is amazing. The kitchen part of the cabin has everything, - yes everything - you needed to cook, reheat, cool or freeze . Kettle, Keurig coffee makes with pods, sugar, creamer , tea bags, and more. I’ll end my comments now, but if you are travelling or vacationing on the West or Southwest coast of our province then I tell you this is a perfect spot to spend a day or two, or several days!! There’s lot to do and see, or you can just sit outside enjoying the peace and quiet ,with a view of the Codroy River and the Long Range Mountains in the background. (And if you want o rejoin the online world for a few minutes there’s very good wi-fi there).
Looking for a special staycation experience? Codroy Valley Cottage Country is the place to go! These clean, self-contained cabin units offered everything we needed for our family’s 3-night stay. From morning coffee on the front covered porch overlooking the Grand Codroy River, to evening fires on the riverbank, this vacation rental offers every comfort to enable you to explore the beauty of the Codroy Valley. The owners were great hosts, checking on our comfort and even setting up a campfire for us! Can you remember ‘mainland’ family trips to warmer places where sand in the bottom of the bathtub was a telltale sign of a day well enjoyed? You can experience a similar vacation inside the province. The Codroy Valley, home to a slightly warmer climate, is where you can wade warm waters of an estuary, stroll sandy shorelines, observe rare migratory birds in lush wetlands, drive winding country roads, stumble on free roaming farm animals, and walk coastal cliff hiking trails. With so much to see and do outdoors, it is the perfect place to unplug.
